This is when Congress meets in a joint session to count the electoral votes. Recent reports say dozens of members of the US House of Representatives are planning to challenge the electoral votes.
No US Senator has confirmed that they will object to the electoral votes at this time, although a few have said they are open to it.
President Trump has blasted Republicans in the Senate and said they had better get tough and stand up for what is right or they may never win another Presidential election.

If supporters of President Trump don't show up to the rally, many say it will likely signal that there isn't enough support behind the President to change the minds of undecided Congress members toward objecting to the vote.
If there is a time for his supporters to show up, it is on January 6 to the Stop the Steal rally. Americans must show the elected representatives that they are not going to let socialism take over our country. The organizers are saying this could likely be the biggest rally in DC history.
