Biden: Not Quite as Adored as Obama

President-elect Joe Biden came out with his first Cabinet picks before Thanksgiving, and the media were falling all over themselves with compliments. Oh, they are all so thoroughly professional, deeply experienced and manifestly competent. The media even tried to suggest with a straight face that this warmed-over pile of Obama administration appointees is “not going to be political.”

How ridiculous. Elected people — and their appointees — have to be political.

At least they’re not demanding Joe Biden be inaugurated early. In 2008, they were so deeply enchanted with then-President-elect Barack Obama that they wanted to slash the transition period in half and get those wonderful Democrats back in power. Al Neuharth, founder of USA Today, wrote in his Nov. 14, 2008 column: “We should move the President’s inauguration up to the first Tuesday in December, one month after the election. … People who elect a new president are eager for the change to take place. The sooner the better.”

New York Times columnist Gail Collins wanted then-President George W. Bush to do the patriotic thing … and quit. “Thanksgiving is this week, and President Bush could make it a really special holiday by resigning,” she wrote. “Seriously. … just to be on the safe side, the Vice President ought to turn in his resignation first. (We’re desperate, but not crazy.) Then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would become president until Jan. 20. Obviously, she’d defer to her party’s incoming chief executive, and Obama could begin governing.”

Her Times colleague Thomas Friedman had to get in on the fun, writing: "If I had my druthers right now we would convene a special session of Congress, amend the Constitution and move up the inauguration from Jan. 20 to Thanksgiving Day.

... Just get me a Supreme Court justice and a Bible, and let's swear in Barack Obama right now -- by choice -- with the same haste we did -- by necessity -- with L.B.J. in the back of Air Force One."

To be blunt, he was implying Bush had suddenly become as useless as an assassinated president.

After all this brouhaha, PBS "Washington Week" host and Obama superfan Gwen Ifill declared on Dec. 5, 2008, that a generic group of "people" wanted Obama sworn in pronto: "Maybe what people are beginning to say is that this president-elect should be president now?" New York Times reporter Peter Baker repeated after her, responding: "That's right. Exactly. People voted for change, and this strange, odd 77-day waiting period that we impose, in effect, between our election and our inauguration ... it's such a long period ..."

Disgraced former CBS anchorman Dan Rather refused to be outdone in throwing dirt on George W. Bush. On "Morning Joe" that same day, Rather argued: "We can't afford to waste an hour, much less a day or a week or a month. And this business of being a lame-duck president and saying, you know, 'Adios. I'm going to the ranch. I'm just not going to do very much during this period.' We can't afford it. ... (W)e're in possibly, possibly the biggest crisis we've been in since Dec. 7, 1941, and maybe since the time of the Civil War. So we can't afford to have this interregnum."

Remember, these are some of the same badly disguised Democrats who would later lecture us for four years about the importance of "democratic norms." The only norm they seem to revere is having Democrats in power.

  1. Adored, adored by who the Left?,the Demonrats?,the Celebtards? no one in their right mind would adore a man who damn near destroyed this Country!! 😠😠

  2. Where are Republican leaders? Why does the Republic have a two tiered law system ? One for Democrats and one for Republicans? One law system for elites who can pay off and another for the common citizen? Why are BLM/Antifa allowed to destroy cities and beat our law enforcement? Threaten citizens in their homes and loot American businesses? Why is one party allowed to blatantly cheat our voting system and allowed to get away with it? Why is our news and social media censored and there is only one voice in America? ? Have we descended into a third world Status? Is Coved 19 the biggest power grab in history? Will America come out of this black hole a beaten power with no jobs, no money and no way to restart the economy, our children devastated and deprived of learning? . America, a perfect victim splayed out and lay waiting for a mad Hungarian, (who’s name we are not allowed to print) One World Order? Wake up now or never wake up again. We are becoming Lilliputians, ignorant of the destruction around us. Yes, where are our leaders? Too many are in the basement with Biden.

  3. Obama is number one on the most beloved list if you just include his own self-love! He adores himself, he thinks he is the greatest thing to ever walk the planet. He can say the most ridiculous things ever like Lead From Behind and thinks he is brilliant.

Obama is the emptiest suit ever to hold the office, unless maybe Joe Biden ascends to the throne. Obama is The Emperor Has New Clothes in real life form!

  4. You mean Biden is even less adored then the Muslim piece of shit Obama ?
    Wow what an understatement
Sand nigger Obama is the most vial excuse of a human in history and nigger doesn’t refer to his skin color but his treason corruption and betrayal to the black race as a whole
Prejudice is not skin color it is the perceived actions or crimes of a particular race as a whole by other races!
In this case Obama has renewed prejudice back to the 1860’s by proving an education doesn’t improve perceived prejudice of a black man for treason and corruption does not play well with other perceived human races concerning the black race!
No one can tell me obama didn’t cheat to become President
Just the same applies to Biden !
He and Obama May be the only two niggers left in America!
Being black doesn’t make you a nigger !
Being a treasonous corrupt communist or Muslim lover does!
I personally believe black skin is more beautiful than white or yellow or red skin and I’m white!
Inhuman behavior and narcissistic superiority tendencies do however merit a derogatory term as vial as the word nigger be labeled to Biden and Obama for they are obviously slaves to the devil or Soro’s or China or iran or Russia
Why else would millionaire’s turn their backs on a country that made them rich?
    Why else!

    1. Gee Steve! Nothing like telling it like it is? I looked up the N-word years ago in a dictionary when they were allowed to print it and it said that the word meant ignorant unsophisticated uneducated people from Nigeria where many of the slaves came from. That word can pertain to all colors of the spectrum not just blacks. The blacks made it an issue but didn’t bother to understand it was about anyone with the above faults.

  5. Obama adored? What planet are those who adore him living on? All I remember is he lied his butt off about Obamacare, put class against class and race against race as well as committed treason giving Iran $150 billion dollars back to kill Americans.
