The liberal media has labeled it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Jen Psaki said it dictates who kids “can or cannot be.” What does Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ bill actually do? It only stops teachers from creepily talking about sexual deviations to five year olds.
It’s really that simple. The bill allows parents a greater awareness of what schools are teaching their kids. Teachers will have to answer to parents about any inappropriate material they teach or promote.
This bill also isn’t the first of it’s kind. In Tennessee, Republicans supported a similar bill that faced heavy opposition and that Democrats derailed. Tennessee Senator Stacy Campfield explained how a child’s sexuality isn’t any teacher’s business whatsoever. Democrats similarly labeled it “don’t say gay” and framed it as discriminatory. Tennessee House Rep. Bruce Griffey is reviving the bill and advocating hard to pass it into law.
“The State of Tennessee is not allowed to teach my daughters Christian values that I think are important and they should learn, so I teach those at home,” said Griffey. “So, if those are not part of the school curriculum, I don’t see how LGBTQ and other issues and social lifestyles should be part of the curriculum.”
Schools distract from what they should be teaching quite enough already. Children should spend their time in the classroom learning about civic, the actual history of this country, learning skills and ideas that will actually help them succeed in life.
Reach out to your representatives, pressure them to push and support these bills. It’s time to stop schools from indoctrinating our children with twisted sexual ideology. Education is the foundation of a civilization and we must orient it towards virtue.
