A new law in Texas went into effect on midnight Tuesday, which outlaws abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected. The law, S.B. 8, which effectively blocks all abortions past 6 weeks gestation became active when the Supreme Court decided not to hear an emergency request to block it. The bill has no prescribed penalties or enforcement for state officials, instead, the enforcement will be accomplished through civil actions. It allows private citizens the right to sue those who perform or assist in performing an abortion. This will make the law more difficult to challenge.
The reaction from the pro-baby killing contingent has been over the top. The so-called “right” to kill babies is held in the highest regard on the political left. It’s as if the sacrificing of a child was a holy sacrament in a leftist demonic religion.
In the state of Texas, the two largest providers of baby-killing services, Planned Parenthood and Whole Women’s Health saw a massive influx of “patients” before the midnight deadline. Whole Women’s Health tweeted out that their waiting rooms were full and their doctors were there killing babies until 11:59 pm. In their emergency request to the Supreme Court before the law took effect, the baby killers made a statement that surely filled Texas state legislators with pride.
“[This bill will] immediately and catastrophically reduce abortion access in Texas, barring care for at least 85 percent of Texas abortion patients (those who are six weeks pregnant or greater) and likely forcing many abortion clinics ultimately to close.”
If their petition turns out to be prophetic, then this law will be remembered as the most successful piece of pro-life legislation to date.
On the national stage, all of the typical leftist baby killers weighed in on Twitter. Hilary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders all made some claim to a “constitutional right” to kill the unborn. There is no such right. Even Joe Biden made remarks about the new law. “This extreme Texas law blatantly violates the constitutional right established under Roe v. Wade and upheld as precedent for nearly half a century.” This, of course, is one of the main arguments pushed by the baby killers that equates bad legal precedent with constitutional rights. It is neither true nor compelling. Rather, it is the only appeal that they know to shriek during their fits of writhing and seething.

I realize that this may seem like a radical idea, but here is a thought; why not stop having Un-Protected Sex, then you won’t need an abortion. Now Rape and Incest are totally different, but if you are having an abortion because you can’t keep your pants on, why should MY Tax Dollars go to pay for your stupidity.

Birth Control Pills are pretty much free for the taking, so why so many “unplanned” pregnancies? Just sayin’!
It used to be a man’s responsibility to do the right thing when he impregnated a woman, intentionally or by “accident.” Then came The Pill and male responsibility went out the window. Males stupidly gave away their main function which is propagation of their line. They accept that their sperm was meaningless. Watch any film nowadays and the woman is on top in bed. Its pitiful. I’m grateful to have a father and not a baby daddy.
(1) To Mr. Winters and Ms. Spingola: I readily understand why people don’t want their tax dollars used to pay for abortions, but that it NOT what this bill does. Its essential aim is to ban abortions, even when funded with private monies. Do you object to private monies being used? Or do you just object to “abortion,” in which case the source of the funding doesn’t matter?
(2) Regarding the “abetting” part of the statue, would you seek to stop/arrest any person who, as example, paid for a Texas woman to travel to (e.g.) New York with the express intention of securing an abortion? If not, why not? Nor is this hypothetical as years ago Ireland debated criminalizing the actions of those who assisted Irish women to travel to England for abortions.
(3) Ronald Reagan’s categorically pro-life surgeon general, the esteemed pediatric surgeon Dr. C. Everett Koop, stated that “the best way to avoid an unwanted abortion is to avoid an unwanted pregnancy.” Thus, I wonder if Grace Bradshaw, the author of this essay, would join with the late Dr. Koop in advocating greater access to contraception, and greater sex education so that young people at least have some knowledge as to how to avoid unwanted pregnancies? If the answer is “no,” Ms. Bradshaw does not believe that people — especially poorer, less-educated persons who often have children which they did not particularly want — should be provided with greater education in sexual reproductive matters and access to contraception, then what’s the point of even discussion the issue with such a doctrinaire fanatic?
One comment; SCOTUS Chief Justice John Roberts, what is it that is being held over his head, what photos does someone have, what videos are locked away, as this formerly conservative judge has rolled so far to the ‘dark side’ that when he blinks only his left eye closes!
I hope there is also a bill that will pay for all these unwanted babies being born into welfare. This bill applies to victims of rape and incest. Most women don’t even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks.
